it caught you by surprise when michael kissed you in front of everyone. while you’ve known each other for a good while now, you’re only in the beginning stages of actually dating, and so pda has been kind of touch and go. you’re at a christmas party, both of you on other sides of a room talking to differently people, when he glances over and grins at something in your general direction. before you know it he’s right in front of you and his lips are on yours, one of his hands on your waist and the other in your hair. it doesn’t last long - short and sweet - but it’s enough to have your mind reeling and your friends cheering around you. michael’s grinning when he pulls back, gently tilting your head back to look at the ceiling where a little branch of white and green hangs above you both. “mistletoe,” you smile, your hands finding his waist. “mistletoe,” he agrees, leaning in to steal another kiss.
