Some of you wanted to see all of my tattoos, so here they are! Well, technically not all of them because I’m a dumbass and took videos of 6 of them without remembering that Tumblr doesn’t work like IG or FB and I can’t put images / videos in the same post. And I’m too lazy to go back and take photos, plus some of them are on parts of me that curve so pics don’t do them justice anyway. I’ll post a video with the rest in a bit. SO! In the meantime, here’s the first 7 - names and meanings and explanations and me rambling about them each individually under the cut for those interested!
So, in the order that they appear~
Pluto’s Still A Planet Damnit (Dec 2015 - 3 years old): my 6th tattoo! Done by Steve Oker while he was still at Hart & Huntington Orlando. Surprisingly one of my least painful tattoos despite being on my spine - Jupiter and Saturn weren’t pleasant as they’re right on vertebrae, but the rest weren’t too bad. And yes, Pluto is in there. Fite me.
Boo! and Double!Cat (Oct 13, 2017 - 1 year old): Friday the 13th tattoos! They were my 10th / 11th tattoos. I went with a bunch of friends from my work at the time. Boo! is on the back of my right arm, right above my elbow. Double!Cat is on my left hip, quarter in photo for size reference. Not my best tattoos, but the experience of getting them with friends was worth it! Might eventually cover Double!Cat if I ever get a big side piece, who knows. Boo! is here to stay though, I love them.
Flowers that always get mistaken for a weird owl oh well (March 2016 - 2.5 years old): my 7th tattoo and my ONLY big impulse tattoo - because it has the most sentimental value. When I was born, a family friend drew this for my parents. They’re the flowers, holding up the little baby butterfly (me). I’ve kept this artwork with me, even though my parents got divorced when I was eight. One morning I woke up, looked over at it, and decided to get it as a tattoo. And the next day I did.
i was in the sherlock fandom...once upon a time (June 2013 - 5.5 years old): my very first tattoo. The name should speak for itself but yeah I used to be in the Sherlock fandom way back before it all went to shit (so basically...first season) and it kinda helped me come out of my shell? Like I went to the 1st and 2nd 221b Cons by myself I still don’t understand how my mom let me travel 6 hours away to go to a con by myself when I was 16 / 17 but okay. So I made a lot of friends at these cons. Because we were all nerds. And uh, yeah. It scarred really bad - it was probably a combo of the artist being really heavy-handed and me not really knowing how to properly take care of a new tattoo?
Totorororororororo (July 13, 2018 - 4 months old): another Friday the 13th tattoo, and my 12th tat overall! It was on the flash sheet for Fallen Sparrow, and luckily enough I got Barythaya as my artist. I’ll probably go back and get him shaded at some point. He’s sitting happily on the inside of my right ankle - opposite of my HMC symbol tattoo (next pic) as part of my Ghibli tribute. Totoro is Ghibli’s mascot, and the symbol is from one of my favorite Ghibli films. Eventually I’m getting Mickey Mouse on the inside of my left ankle, with the A symbol from Atlantis (fav Disney film) opposite it. So, yeah.
Moving House aka I want to travel aka it would take me so long to explain this tattoo to someone who doesn’t know Howl’s Moving Castle that this is my go-to explanation now (Nov 2014 - 4 years old): my 3rd tattoo! It’s on the outside of my right ankle, opposite of Totorororororororo. It’s the symbol that Howl draws inside of the castle in the Studio Ghibli film Howl’s Moving Castle when he’s ‘moving house’ and changing the portals. Just watch the movie. It’s so good, and you’ll understand then.
I’ll post a video of the rest of my tattoos in a bit. Thanks for reading if you made it this far!
