Marian Gaborik goes from an 8 game scoreless streak, to the sports-cover on 3 NYC newspapers. All because of one little goal, in quite a historic game. Some interesting numbers about the fourth longest game in Rangers history, which logged in at 114 min, 41 seconds:

The Rangers are now 3-4 all-time in 3OT and 4OT games. All 3 wins, interestingly, have come about 4 decades apart: 1932, 1971, and 2012. All of the losses occurred in the 1930's.

Yesterday's win ended the Rangers' streak of seven straight playoff-overtime losses, dating back to 2007. It also ended a 5 game playoff losing streak in Washington, dating back to '09.

Ryan McDonagh led all players, logging 53 minutes of ice-time (a regulation game is only 60 minutes!). Dan Girardi pulled in over 44  Mark Staal saw over 49 minutes, with 44 for Girardi, and 43 for Del Zotto. Captain Callahan led Ranger forwards, with over 41 minutes of ice-time, with Richards just over 39 minutes.
