Today has been good! I had to wake up early to help my dad set up and tear down for a shoot (which was 90 minutes long so he didn't need me for the middle part). So he gave me a bit of cash to get breakfast and wander around downtown. I went and ate at this great little diner that I've never been to; the staff were funny and kind, and i sat next to a nice little old lady at the bar. I got to have a nice walk since I was about 10 minutes away from the shoot, and it was warm and the air smelled like rain. I stopped in a used bookstore that's crammed floor to ceiling because I had time to kill. I wandered around and discovered they had a whole case of books on Communism which I will absolutely revisit. I ended up buying a small copy of Aesop's Fables for $6! And I just felt...very happy and at piece with the world in that time.
