Tonight We Dine in Hell by Tyler Bates
The score for this movie is so beautiful. And the pieces from it are so multi-layered and multifaceted that they are capable of evoking a whole whirlwind of emotions from you.
Tonight We Dine in Hell is one of those multi-layered pieces. It is haunting and a little scary; forlorn and remorseful. It speaks of tragedy and yet something that feels a little bit like hope. And it is amazing to me that a piece of art can contain so much--that one minute and thirteen seconds of sound can make you feel so greatly.
And because of that, this is the kind of song I want to write to--the kind of song I want to create to. Great art inspires other great art, and sometimes just that feeling of awe--that presence of being around something so beautiful--is enough to get the gears turning; to set the pieces moving behind my eyes.
I love this song in all its sadness and all its beauty--I hope you do, too.
