PHILIPPINE SEA (September 12, 2020) -- An F/A-18E Super Hornet launches from United States Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) during routine flight operations.

Although a photo of a fighter jet a split-second before taking to the air off the tip of an aircraft carrier is not that unusual....

....consider the pilot of that aircraft:

A relatively young (20- or 30-something, likely) man or woman....riding a mega-million-dollar fighter jet....going from zero to air-speed in a split second....with a 100,000 tons of nuclear-powered aircraft carrier bearing down on you if you don’t make it into the air, but end up in the ocean.

If you’re human, that HAS to be an OMG moment each and every time!

Those pilots are truly living on the edge....
