Just a month left until the third annual Thirty Days Has September Writing Challenge starts! It's shaping up to be bigger and better than ever! So let's talk about what's happening this year!
First things first, it's not just me (rheostatic/pinescrow) running it alone this year! I have a little team of lovely volunteers just as passionate as you about this event! They will help me run socials, read and respond to your posts, and generally make the event’s expansion much easier! So help me welcome them : )
Secondly, if you haven't seen our previous posts - we have a survey out! We want to take your ideas in expanding or adapting 30dhs to make it better! You can read about it here!
It's because of some responses to this survey that we have decided to also host on AO3 this year! There will be a collection you can upload your own 30dhs pieces to! We'll get your more information on how to do this later!
We're still in talks with GaiaOnline to get officially hosted as a user event, but regardless of Gaia's official support we will be hosting a mega thread in the Writer's forum with a little chat thread in Chatterbox!
So right now the places that we will be hosting 30dhs2k26 are as follows: Bluesky, Tumblr, GaiaOnline, and AO3! If you have any more suggestions on where we should host the event, please fill out the survey in this thread! Please note we have officially decided to forgo hosting on Twitter/X.
