I can travel by plane with 30 grams of dry cannabis...
... After October 17, 2018 of course. And only domestically of course.
Canada’s Transport Minister has clarified that air travelers flying across Canada are allowed to bring a small amount of cannabis with them for personal use. That small amount is 30 grams. That’s a lot. To be honest I didn’t know what that meant. But I googled “30 grams of weed”. Yeahhh, I don’t think I’ve ever even held that much at one time, or ever in my life for that matter! (See below for visual aid).
But that’s kind of interesting. I immediately think B.C. trips. I hear they have the good stuff. But I also think about how this would be regulated. Will they stop you if they discover what looks like over 30 grams? Does the new allowance come into effect right at 12:00 am on the 17th? Are we the next Amsterdam?!?
All of this bewilders me. And it’s quite exciting for many I’m sure. Time for me to absorb all this news!
Till next time,
- Manda.
