「優れた才能と人格は両立しない」は正しいと思う一方，研究に関して言えば「アカハラしそうな人格の人は，優れた研究の才能があっても大学ポストにいるべきではない」とは思うんだよな．研究所であれば，単独でラボ持たせるとかで対応すればいいと思うけどね．

Hm. Desperately trying to catch up. I've been bribing myself with candy for the past few days. With quite a bit of success and some failure too. I get one yummy candy every 500 words. Did I mention I'm still some two thousand words late? And have been close to ten thousand TWICE? But the candy thing has worked! I haven't felt like writing, but sniffing the bag and waving one candy enticingly in front of my eyes have got me to open Q10 and putting some words down. All in all, today I've written more than 6000 words, more than ever before in one day. All thanks to candy.

Okay, yesterday I finished the previous bag without any writing because the temptation just grew too much, but... I've done pretty well today. :|

Also, I just wrote some 2000 words about a unicorn talking about friendship. I swear MLP was nowhere near my mind - I was just aiming for a general cliche unicorn who just happens to be wise so she could give some advice and encouragement to Grul, who apparently has been feeling down. (I didn't know that, I thought she was just bored or something. Gil and Hasu take up so much energy with their talking, that apparently even my own brain has no idea what Grul's up to.)

Still a couple of hours to midnight, not feeling tired, plenty of candy left... I'm gonna see how much more I can write. About the importance of friendship. :)
