A frown etched into her forehead, she held the puppy a little bit closer. While a small horde of furballs was apparently on the way towards her, yipping away, tongue lolling out.
The one in the man’s grasp also interested in the newcomer.
AS was her own apparently. Because it tried to roll around in her grasp – a long time of motherhood easily countered that, even if it was a little differently formed tiny – and yipped together with them until it-
-absconded over her shoulder, a wagging tail slapping her in the face, while the pup used her back as a ramp down.
And joined the rest of the group.
It was a tumble of fur, while the man still held one puppy in his arms.
“See where that gets you? Terrible form” He sneered.
And Gabrielle fumed inwardly: “Well, who are you to tell me such things?”
“My name is Velius Arslan. And you better remember it, chosen by Samil or not, you certainly have a lot to learn” He whistled and the tiny clouds ran away. Except for the one she had carried. It licked her knee and rubbed it’s head against her before trotting after the others.
Behind Gabrielle, a snort happened: “Ahahahaaaa~! Ah, that went as well as expected”
He hung himself over her shoulders and she immediately shrugged him off, glaring at him: “What the hell?”
“You met our dear Velius, he’s in charge of the cubs right now. I suppose you see why we aren’t entirely certain it’s a good idea?”
“Ts,” this was ridiculous, “No matter! You have cubs! You don’t need me! You shouldn’t have… have kidnapped and- and-“
“That’s what Njall is there for, isn’t he?” Here this… ‘Mazin looked almost apologetic, “The big guy is right, we know…”
“And you HAVE cubs! Where IS their mother?! Are these adopted? What even happened here?!” The whole thing was weird.
“Ah, you see… maybe people are not always… fond of our kind? And their mom… tried to be diplomatic. And truthful. It… didn’t end well. For neither party”
She stared at him for a long minute until he actually looked out the window.
“SO! Cub gone! Time to show you some rooms close to kitchen and bathrooms, huh?” He sprung to life again.
… maybe wolves didn’t usually interacted with people…
Why is it that some members of the public seem to lack common courtesy?
After working as a waitress for the past two years in three different jobs, I can say I’ve definitely had my fair share of nasty customers. For example, a lady shouted at me when the café that I worked at ran out of Cornish pasties. Sorry, but WAS there any need to shout at me? It’s not my fault!
Sometimes it seems that no matter how nice I am to my customers, I get it thrown back in my face. The one thing that really annoys me about this is the fact that some people fail to believe that being a waitress can be extremely stressful. Like when I’m rushing around my section making sure people have received their drinks and food, and then there’s some idiot clapping and shouting at me for their attention. Last time I checked you wouldn’t behave like that towards a stranger, so why do that to your host?
I just wish people would be a little more patient and respectful towards me. After all, I am only working to give me some extra money whilst I study at university. Do I really deserve the added stress? No, I didn’t think so either.
One thing I can’t seem to grasp however is the fact that some people find it extremely difficult to use basic manners. It takes a second to say ‘please’ or ‘thank you’, yet so many people will fail to use these when I take their order or deliver them their food. I always appreciate a customer a lot more if they’re polite to me. I’m always polite and friendly to my customers, so why can’t they be the same to me?
I completely understand that it’s frustrating when the restaurant is busy and you’ve been waiting a while for your drinks or food, but that doesn’t mean I’m not trying my best to keep you happy. Some people don’t seem to understand that. It seems nowadays that a lot more people haven’t been brought up to be polite to the people serving them in shops and restaurants, or if they have, they’re definitely not using their manners!
I’m just waiting for the day that I go to work and don’t have to deal with any rude customers.
