“There’s no way I’m getting back out there right now,” Tony mused, plucking a drink from the tray of a passing server. He nodded to the dance floor. “Half of them need to do us all a favor and get rooms.”

“you’re staring. again.” dick says, bringing his drink to his lips for a small sip as his gaze falls on the other. “for the past ten minutes, in fact. so were you planning on ever saying hi or?”
jon x open
avengers campus, upstate new york.
jon could have never imagined he'd ever have this life. okay, sure it was still somewhat new to him. but back in smallville, the idea of ever being able to attend a pride party with the bi flag painted across each of his cheeks was nothing more than a dream. and yet here he was now, in upstate new york, outside of the avengers compound. despite the blaring music, the laughter all around and people smiling and dancing together...he still felt alone. it had always been the same, the strange feeling that he wasn't of this world. it was something he was never able to truly shake. his long fingers fiddled anxiously with the kryptonite pendant around his neck, willing for his alien dna to allow him to get drunk just once. but alas, even with the dulling of his abilities from the necklace, his cells regenerated too quickly underneath the june sun to allow him to feel even slightly tipsy. as per, he'd been so lost in his own thought spiral, he hadn't even noticed someone approaching him at the bar.
