What the heck is this? This early-2000s 3D computer art is from the now-defunct dragon art website, PicturesCloset.com, which was sold off repeatedly and ultimately lost years of submissions and art around the mid 2010′s. None of the images are even accessible with Wayback Machine, and the site’s original design from the mid-2000s is no longer viewable and seems to be stuck on the 2010′s revamp of the site.
Why does it look so crappy? Because I don’t even have the original image--I printed this out when I was nine years old. I took a picture of the poorly-printed image with my phone and tried to restore its natural colors using Photoshop, but it still looks like a nice, steaming pile of ass. I’ve tried reverse image searching, and it seems as though the original image is completely lost with time.
If anyone has any information on this image or is somehow able to dig it up, I would be absolutely JUMPING for joy. This was one of my favorite art pieces from back in the day and I’d love to see the original image again.
Either way, thought it’d be cool to share an old web art piece that seems to be completely lost to time.
