Here's a video presentation of the school project I've been working tirelessly on the last 10 weeks! Design, sculpting, texturing, look development, rendering, compositing and editing by me.
Something I’ve idly been working on the past couple months. Remember that picture of Jackalope Seika I did a while back to teach myself Illustrator? Decided to use that same picture to make myself do a proper model in Blender.
She’s been rigged/IK rigged in some areas. I derped up so much in this I probably joined pieces I shouldn’t have but the low poly tutorial I also watched wasn’t one that went into rigging. I watched another group of videos to do rigging but it was with a high poly character; either way though I didn’t know what I was doing through half of this so it was all me learning and letting myself screw up.
I even put a deform mesh on her so when I move the legs her shirt deforms. Not shown here but I’ll probably do an idle animation of her to show the shirt and leg movement. That’s why her shirt goes from looking smooth in the initial T pose to kinda weird looking. It works really nice though when I move her legs.
While this is my first proper model I actually tried modeling Perrie a while back. He was the one I wanted to originally try and go all the way with in Blender. That went to Seika though and for my first real model all the way through I’m pretty proud.
I’m going to try and do an idle animation with her or something but I at least wanted to show you guys this.
That and since I like progression shots so much I thought I’d show the screen shots of her render versus her polygon/rig model.
The people on youtube are amazing. I watched so many videos and googled so many things like..HEY WHY IS MY CAMERA STUCK.
Seika is my gally
