ThunderBlade (Master System)
3D Thunder Blade 3DS Overview and Review Introduction: Hello everybody, Shaun Meyers (Kyo Akiara) here to bring you our latest review for 3D Thunder Blade for the Nintendo 3DS by SEGA. 3D Thunder Blade is the latest in SEGA's 3D Remake series and it's a sidescrolling rail shooter that features a helicopter. The original release of Thunder Blade came out in 1987 in Japan and the US while the European version came out in 1988 on various platforms. The game came out on Atari ST, Commodore 64, Arcades, Sega Master System, Amiga, Armstrad CPC, DOS, MSX, TurboGrafx-16, ZX Spectrum and Sharp X68000. A follow-up game was also released exclusively for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive called Super Thunder Blade. Story and Setting: The story in 3D Thunder Blade is very similar in plot to a 1983 movie and 1984 TV series known as Blue Thunder where you pilot a helicopter to save the main character's country from enemies. The game features a total of 4 missions to take part in which isn't very many but
Hello everybody, I’ve finished our latest review for 3D Thunder Blade for the Nintendo 3DS!
Truth be told this one hasn’t been my favorite of the 3D remakes so far. It’s incredibly short with only 4 missions in arcade mode so it can be beaten within an hour or less. There’s a special mode that unlocks once you beat arcade mode that has some more missions to complete.
The game is definitely action packed and the 3D effects are great (they can also make you motion sick, it happened to me lol) but it’s not very fun for long periods of time.
Thanks for reading folks and happy gaming!

Midweek Media: May 20th, 2015
After a few hardware difficulties this morning, we’re back with a brand new serve of brand new screens! It should be no real surprise that Hatsune Miku is my pick of the week (although I’m a little surprised the screens aren’t from her latest game), but there’s plenty more here to look at. There’s some new content for Cities: Skylines on the horizon (heh), and another batch of shiny new cars from – appropriately – Forza Horizon 2. I’m not sure how to feel about the new screens from Game of Thrones: A Telltale Series, as I’m still processing exactly what happened in this week’s episode, but each episode of that game continues to look great, so maybe I shouldn’t judge based on what HBO chose to do. And speaking of making choices, I’m choosing to look further into room13, based entirely on a logo and one screenshot – what’s grabbed your eye this week?

Hello everybody, we’ve been given the opportunity to review another 3D remake for an old school SEGA game in the form of 3D Thunder Blade.
This is a continuation of our recent coverage of the SEGA 3D remasters. We started doing them 2 months ago now with 3D Out Run and our most recent one 3D Fantasy Zone II. I hope to be able to continue our coverage after 3D Thunder Blade as well.
Much like 3D Fantasy Zone II, Thunder Blade came out before I was born so I never got the chance to play the classic arcade version of the game. Our review will be from a first time experience point of view and I’m looking forward to jumping into it.
Since this one is new to our review list I’ll be reviewing this one sometime down the road as there’s still quite a few that I need to finish up first. Keep an eye out for it in the very near future though!
Also I would have shared some screenshots of the game but they were in bitmap format in the press release and Tumblr doesn’t support bitmap images lol.
Happy gaming folks!

When it comes to SEGA’s legendary arcade cabinets, many games come to mind. Hang-On, OutRun, After Burner II and Space Harrier are just a small example SEGA’s legendary arcade craftsmanship that featured a physical experience rather than simply hitting buttons.
At the time, almost every deluxe cabinet was immaculately built with great gameplay and design. One of SEGA’s best years for its arcade…
