Explosion Ideas

I started looking at explosions solely made within Houdini FX (which is the software I wish to learn).

Research for Idea 2 (Explosion)

I finally decided that I would be going for the explosion idea, because it is going to be easier to find a theme for it, and also it should be less complicated to create since I won’t have to replicate the scene on a 3D software to match any physics because most of the effects related to the explosion will be floating on the air.

Browsing around I found this Houdini Showreel which had something similar to what I want my final piece to be (except mine won’t have a plane).
