Void Simulacrum at the Untitled Opening
Untitled is a series that I finished at the end of summer of 2017. The vibes of summer inspired a lighthearted and vibrant feeling, which is reflected in the paintings, and contrasts with the way in which the year began for me. The unaltered areas of the paper provide a breathing space to reflect a freedom of movement — again mirroring the freedom that I experienced in my personal life at that time. The paintings were created on vertical surfaces and on the floor, so markings on the paper are a documentation of a dance in space.
