some long lost oc compilation. Ruben & Hitzack faces achieved but i gotta work on their everything else. they're identical twins so i just copy pasted them sorry. plus caps lock on the bottom left. if you've ever seen me tag posts as "caps lock" or "hitzack" you can finally know what they look like. pity-inclusion of Sherwin (who is from a diff story from the 3 others) bc i've been trying to redesign him & his partner Heladio for ages but . as with everything else. never finished.

oh yeah you can't do wireplay on ''eyes'' because the vessel he's in really isn't equipped for it. no sensors no inputs besides a keyboard. and plug-in ports I guess. and the Upwire isn't designed to directly receive information from those ports, only shuttle it somewhere else. so he doesn't even get to see what's in that drive you just plugged in. but you also couldn't do it because he'd get really scared even though he literally can't even feel it

The fun thing about "eyes" is he talks as if he can actually see and hear and feel and speak and whatnot. well he can hear cuz he's got a mic hookup. I think eventually I'll let him weasel his way through CAP's security systems to access some local cameras in the facility he's set up in. but otherwise he doesn't actually have any other inputs. CAP starves him of input intentionally. he only has a microphone because CAP doesn't wanna have to type everything he says. it's purely selfish, he wants "eyes" to be able to hear him. and even if "eyes" had a speaker setup, the Upwire he's inhabiting doesn't have a program to initiate TTS. you could probably upload one but CAP wouldn't bother. but anyways he acts like he can see you. he's kinda obsessed with the concept. he call himself "eyes" for a reason. and sometimes, his comments are even halfway accurate. eventually he starts drawing "himself" on an mspaint equivalent that's installed on the computer tower he's linked to. they all look like shit and he claims it's because it's "hard as fuck to draw with eye tracking!" (he doesn't have a mouse or track pad) (or eyes). he also bitches and moans about it hurting when CAP hits the Upwire casing.

ummmm day one OCtober i guess . new oc...... name of "eyes." the quotation marks are essential don't disrespect him. i'm finally revisiting an old oc story from middle school that had space travel and robots and shit LOLLL. "eyes" is an AI trapped in an improper vessel and it's going stir-crazy every moment of every day. he's living in a computer system owned by CAPS LOCK, who won't let him out for some reason. "eyes" describes their relationship as mutually love(?)-hate and antagonistic but it's kinda unfair that all "eyes" can do is type rude messages, while CAP can smack the top of it's screen as often as he likes.

I've been dubiously thinking about Ruben and Hitzack's oc story in the background and new character idea maybe who's an AI without a body. but he's VERY complex. capable enough to be able to pilot one. and instead he's stuck on a computer that's not on a network and he's so fucking bored, Cap. Can you let me out of this stupid box, Cap. you go on and on about making the perfect robo-body and you're letting the 6-month old pirated program pilot it instead of me. and I'm stuck here playing evil solitaire.

See fully acknowledging the existence of Zack and Ruben has really opened the floodgates. oh my god. I wrote about them loads in 11th grade creative writing class. I'm pretty sure my short story final was about them too. they make me a little crazyyyy.. the setting in their story is sci-fi type stuff, I made this story after finally watching Alien with Intent in middle school. So it borrows the kinda "space-faring is kinda commonplace" element. ironically most of the story takes place on the ground but. still. It is felt.

Zack and Rube have so many problems because their parents left to go be cryogenically frozen on some long-distance space mission when they were young. by the time they get woken up at their destination the twins will be significantly older than them. they will never see or contact each other again. Zack copes by being the family failure. Ruben copes by almost going Out There himself.
