good things from this week (4/10-4/17)
dance was so fun we finished gandi baat and i’m v happy w our routine :’) i love dance
it was spring break so i mostly just toured colleges
we arrived late saturday night and didn’t have anything to do on sunday so we just spent the day in the downtown boston area which was nice, we ate @ this place called uno and i had rly good pasta and chicken and then we went to a cupcake place and aarushi and i got this chocolate cupcake which was p good
monday was nice, we toured northeastern and it was so nice, i really wish i could go there but tuition is soo expensive and it looks like we can’t afford it :( but anyways super great school!!
then we went to nyu which is nice but idk if it’s for me, i want more of the traditional college experience and i think it would be too much about the city and not about college if i went to nyu + it’s like $71k a year so... lmao
we got to see sanji didi which was so nice, she’s one of my fave cousins in the world and she took us to this restaurant called soho tiffin stop or smth which was basically like desi chipotle?? anyways it was p good actually, i had rice n paneer and chicken and there was this mango chutney type of thing which was SOOO good + i had mango lassi
then we went to this place for tea and i got this raspberry iced tea which was super good and we got cookies from this place called insomniac cookies which i think was started by some college students?? anyways they have a store but they also have a cookie delivery service which is cool & their cookies were super good
then we flew to toronto which was by far my fave stop on this trip!! so we reached p late and we got to stay w tanu mausi who is the greatest!! tbh i lov all my mausis so much anyways yeah so toronto was nice we got there super late but we finally got to sleep in legit beds and not hotel ones
and then the next morning we went and toured UTSC but we got there late bc we thought our tour was at 11:30 instead of 11 :( so it looked like we’d have to do a self guided tour but tanu mausi called in and asked if they could do another tour for us and they were like yeah ofc!!
anyways so we went in to the place where the tour was starting and on the phone this rly sweet girl had offered to take us on the tour but when we got there this brown guy (he was cute!!!) was like oh i can take them and on the way we stopped for a bathroom break and everyone besides me went and he was like don’t take this the wrong way but you’re very beautiful and i was so dumb i didn’t kno what to say (i wanted to be like oh myg od im in lov w you) but i was just like ‘oh.. thanks u too’ so i sounded dumb af but whatever i was so *heart eyes*
anyways our tour was really nice i absolutely LOVE utsc and then we went to the st george campus and ok first of all downtown toronto is soo nice and the st george campus is p nice but its so big and i kinda liked the feel of utsc better but yeah we’ll see i haven’t even heard back from any of the campuses yet so yeah lmao
and then THE BEST PART ok so we went back home and i got to finally meet eesha :’)) also eesha idk if you’ll see this but i’ll just address u in this in case u do anyways so it was so cool 2 finally meet you bc i’ve known you for soo long and you’re one of my best friends tbh like yeah?? idk i just lov u a lot <33 and i’m so happy we finally got to meet and you’re just as gorgeous (if not more) in person and you’re so nice and you dress so well?? like if i didn’t already know you i’d be too scared to talk to you bc you seem so cool lmao anyways that was soo fun and i’m so glad we got to meet!! :) i was gonna say more but it got into super sappy territory lol anyways ilysm <33
also i got to see neha and ekta mausi & my mausas and i got to meet vihaan and ishaan for the first time!!! ishu <33 is the cutest he’s so funny lmao he’s always coaching other people n stuff and he struggles w catch so much but it’s his favorite game and he has a very particular way that you have to throw to him and that he’ll throw to you and if someone messes up (aka if he’s unable to catch the ball) he’ll just go “noooooo” in the CUTEST lil voice
and VIHAAN i have never seen such chubby cheeks in my life he’s the sweetest lil chubby angel i’ve ever met :’) and he always looks kinda confused but he’s so happy all the time and he can’t walk on his own yet so he holds onto gaurav mausa’s thumbs and does this weird little lunge/speed walk thing everywhere which is hilarious and i love him soo much :’)
and ishaan finally warmed up to me by the end of the evening which was cool bc at first he was just really shy also he calls sleeping ‘nee nee time’ which is SOOO CUTE and he does his alphabet in such a cute way like ‘e mummy’, n mausi, b for badi di (that’s rly his mausi but bc he hears everyone call her badi di he calls her that too, its so cute) and he recently learned d for didi and r for radhi didi
anyways we left kinda early-ish the next day and flew to dc
we went straight to american and idk it’s great for IR and halloween there would be so cool bc embassy row lmao but yeah
we stayed w mukti bua which was nice bc i like mukti bua and also navya and naman are older now which is nice i mean she’s still bossy as ever but it’s fine lol and naman is older now which is cool bc now he’ll actually remember me lol
anyways they were so excited to see us it was v sweet :’)
and i got to see bharat & pranav bhaiya which was nice i rly do lov them a lot <33 and they were so sweet they were convincing me to come to dc so i could party w them all the time lol
the next day i didn’t end up going back for freshman day at au which i think was the right choice for me but yeah idk i wish i could’ve been there maybe for part of it
but aarushi, bua and i went to this french restaurant and i got rly good pasta and there was bread and jam and a fruit tart for desert!! which was nice
then we flew back and during our layover in chicago i got mango sorbet which was super good
and we got home sooner than we expected and it was so nice to sleep in my bed again :’)
anyways i had dance the next morning and reena was like good job radhika which means a lot 2 me still like i look up to her so much + she’d been yelling @ us all day so it was nice to know i was doing okay lol
and then today itc was ... lmao that freestyle was so bad fjasldkfdl im just glad ishika wasn’t there to yell at me lmao
anyways we left early for jeena and i rly love everyone in jeena they’re all so sweet :’) and i did mostly ok but i messed up @ one part but w/e!!! ill practice between now & the show anyways our costumes for jeena are so much better than the mitmas costumes fjalff
also the pleasanton teens masters costumes are SOO cute i wanna trade but yeah we’re gonna ask reena if we can switch costumes bc we all have fit issues + the costumes are .... why
anyways this week was ok overall like a lot of good things happened
oh also we met some of our neighbors today, this desi family that lives just down the street and they have two kids and the girl is really young she’s probably like 4 years old tops anyways she was telling us how she visited hawaii w her family last year and her brother whos in first grade was like yeah and we saw sharks and sea turtles and peopel did the hula!! and he was so excited and the little girl was like ‘YEAH AND THE GUYS THE GUYS THE ONES WHO DID HULA THEY - THEY - THEY WERE NUNGU’ and it was the funniest thing lmao she was so cute ofc her brother clarified they weren’t ‘fully nungu just a little’
