how about eat a dick and reclaim whatever the fuck you want. since when is it a crime to voice a fucking opinion? do I go all over your tumblr and say "no! you can't think that! you have to think this!" leave me the fuck alone.
how about a big fuck you?
the fact is, you started a discussion on an open, public blog. you. not anybody else. and then, you tried to sarcasm your way out of it, because you couldn't take the heat of a legitimate argument against you from a girl who has spent months researching both sides of this argument so she could take a stance on what she felt was right. it is diamond fucking clear to me that you have been talking out of your ass. no, it is not a crime to have an opinion, but it is more than idiotic to go waving it around without education to back it up.
"leave me the fuck alone"? really? you really expect to post an opinion on an (i repeat) open blog site and not encounter someone with an opposing view? frankly, i was done with you before you sent me this embarrassing ask defending your last scrap of manful pride. "eat a dick". how charming.

that’s what you get for not using chrome, lol
I do use Chrome when FF is being bitchy, though I really don't like Chrome.
404blognotfound answered your question: wait, guys.
I strongly disagree with day of silence, of all days that’s the day to speak up the loudest. why be silent about a topic so important?
People can talk the entire rest of the year. In fact, I do encourage it. I support - and am directly a part of - the LGBTQA community. It's why I reblog LGBT-related posts, why I attend campus Alliance meetings and am now a part of the e-board for it, why I have a rainbow ribbon on my backpack, why I am open to talking about sexuality and especially about mine. It's why I pay attention to the media when they talk about related issues, and it's why my heart and tongue fire up when someone insults the LGBT community.
A day of silence is a statement, especially if you end up having to explain to people why you're not talking.
My campus LGBT alliance is handing out red and black ribbons for it, and I personally plan to carry around a notecard or something in case anyone asks why the hell I have duct tape over my lips. I figure that's my only exception to the "talking" - if I can explain why I'm not. [well, that and I have to edit a paper in my one class tomorrow. I intend to write notes on it, but that's it.]
The silence is representative of the silencing that happens all the time. Someone doesn't like that their kid is gay, it's hushed up in and even outside of the family. In the last few years, the topic has become a huge thing, especially with the string of suicides related to the issue of homophobia. But it's still a sort of taboo, and it's definitely a sensitive topic.
If I talk to everyone about the issue all day long tomorrow, it would feel like I'm forcing an issue. It's kind of like religion - no one wants someone else's beliefs shoved in their face. If I am standing out because of something I do that affects only my own body, I am doing no harm. If someone notices, and asks about it, they are the ones asking to learn. They are the ones reaching out. They are already more open to my stance at that point.
I'm not silent the rest of the year, though I am not always talking about the LGBT community and its issues. Spending a day - one measly day - where the only thing I allow myself to talk about is this issue, actually devotes the day to it. I may not end up explaining myself to anyone. That's fine. It's still in my heart and it'll be on my mind all day, as I won't be talking about anything else.
This is just my opinion. If there's an official website, they may have other reasons. But yeah. I'm not just following a crowd on this. I thought about the same question you've just asked me, and this was my conclusion.
