It's been 40 years passed since Mickey's Christmas Carol came out in December-16-1983 and let me tell ya: it's totally a great one, even better than Disney's A Christmas Carol 2009 version starring Jim Carrey. This version stars Scrooge McDuck as a greedy miser named Ebenezer Scrooge who resents the merriment of Christmas after his old partner Jacob Marley (Goofy) passed away for seven years and he condemned in the afterlife to carry long and heavy chains and warns that the same thing will happen to Scrooge. He also tells him that he'll be visited by three Christmas spirits: the Ghost of Christmas Past (Jiminy Cricket from Pinocchio 1940 movie), the Ghost of Christmas Present (Willie the Giant from Fun and Fancy Free 1947 movie) and the Ghost of Christmas Future (Pete), so he has to listen to them and do what they say or he'll end up the same mistakes as Jacob did, but become heavier chains than Jacob's. I know that there are so many versions of A Christmas Carol, but I've decided to choose Mickey Mouse's version over other versions and if I were others, I would NOT make the same mistake as Ebenezer did like resenting the merriment of Christmas because Bob Cratchit (Mickey Mouse) once says... Christmas is a time of giving, but it's not only that. Christmas is also the birth of Jesus Christ.

It's the big 4-0! Today we are celebrating two of our sanctuaries' 40th anniversaries! Both Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary and Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary were designated on this day in 1981.

Located on opposite sides of the country, both sites host incredible biodiversity and are home to globally significant research sites. Whether it's white sharks and blue whales or North Atlantic right whales and loggerhead sea turtles, the last four decades of protection and research help make these places so special. We want to say thank you to all the amazing staff and volunteers who help our sanctuaries thrive. Here's to the next 40!

Da piccola ero biondina e dicono "una peste" che non stava mai ferma, poi sono diventata mora e pigra! 😂 Ho album pieni di foto fatte sviluppare dal fotografo, non esistevano i cellulari né il magico mondo di internet, ci si telefonava ancora col telefono fisso, merenda guardando i cartoni e c'erano le mezze stagioni! Andavo a ballare la domenica pomeriggio e il cellulare a malapena mandava gli sms! Quante cose sono cambiate, io con loro e ho nostalgia (tanta) così da farmi capire che ho ricordi felici, ho amato, odiato, ho sia rimpianti che rimorsi, ho riso e pianto a volte anche per le stesse cose, ho sbagliato e solo dopo imparato e tornassi indietro qualcosa cambierei!
