Amazon said earlier this week that it supports the "States Reform Act,” legislation introduced by @RepNancyMace in November. The bill would remove cannabis from Schedule I under the Controlled Substances Act and give states the freedom to set their own cannabis regulatory policies. Amazon claims, believe them or not, that they're not interested in getting into the weed game. “There are no plans to sell cannabis and that is not why we’re doing this or being involved in this debate,” Brian Huseman, Amazon’s VP of public policy, told WaPo.
