most esports players are tiny skeletons who are impressed by a 135lb bench max from what i've seen, thank god we got a sponsor that can fill them up with 5000 calories a day. we need stronger athletes, more powerful, crushing a keyboard in one giant fist

TL:DR you missed the point, my school sent this to everyone without showing the opposing viewpoint. Also minimum wage...

I was responding to the person that commented above me, not you. And yes I know why minimum wage was put into place, it's actually pretty self explanatory. But the fact of the matter is that people are being forced to live off of it. As with a lot of laws(/bills/whatever you want to call them) recently, it needs to be updated to coincide with the way the world is changing. When it was originally put it place it was great and worked well for a really long time but it hasn't kept up with the rate of inflation, it's actually been surpassed by a pretty substantial margin. The reason people want it changed is because it needs to be changed. People are being forced to live off of minimum wage when even as you said yourself, minimum wage was never meant to be lived off of. Mainly because living off minimum wage is actually incredibly hard if you're doing anything other than working 24/7 so it's especially hard for people like me that are living on their own while trying to balance work and school. And college students such as myself and people in school in general in fact make up a large number of the people working on minimum wage
