In the first episodes of AKBINGO! Shinoda was often teased about claming on her CV that her talent was playing the "air ocarina", being made to play it several times during the shows.

As revealed to her in AKBINGO! (July 7, 2010), the only reason Takamina passed the initial written auditions was because of her height (148.5cm) and her birthdate (4/8/1991) both having the numbers 4 and 8.

During a segment in AKBINGO!, it was revealed that since their last check-up, she has been troubled by the result that she lost 5mm (in height, from 148.5cm to 148cm). In addition, during the EX-Episode for Majisuka Gakuen 2, she learned that Ichikawa Miori became taller than her

Her first appearance in AKB 1ji 59fun! was in Episode 1, where she appeared as a life-sized cardboard cut-out of her with a sash which reads: "on leave, filming for a drama" (ドラマ収録のため欠席, Dorama shuuroku no tame kesseki). She was the first member to have a cardboard cut-out of herself up until AKBINGO!.

Is left-handed. But as revealed in one of AKBINGO!'s segments, she can write using her right hand.

She is a fan of the Yomiuri Giants.

Donated 1.25 million yen for charity to Green Cross International as of 2009.

On May 18, 2010, she took a picture with Justin Bieber when they were filming for "Music Japan" and posted it on her blog.

She took a picture with Ke$ha, and with picture with Taylor Swift.

On March 2, 2011, she talked to Avril Lavigne and took a picture with her.

She makes a cameo appearance in the Aitakatta Kamoshirenai PV of Nogizaka46, briefly encountering Ikoma Rina who played the role that Acchan portrayed in their own Aitakatta PV. This made her the first AKB member to work with Nogizaka in a music video.

She was the only victim in AKBINGO!'s AKRangers segment to be covered in flour twice.

Said in an interview and in her blog that if she hasn't found her partner in the future, she'll want Takahashi Minami to live with her.

Kojima is well known as one of the tallest girls in AKB48.

She was demoted to Kenkyuusei status in Feburary 2013 due to a dating scandal, where she shaved her hair. Later she was promoted again to Team 4, and became the captain of the team.

Wanted to get married at age 23, and for her future husband to call her 'Minami' rather than 'Miichan'. However, in shukanAKB 100Q she contradicted this by saying that she wants to get married at age around age 30.

Keeps warm in winter by pretending it's summer and feeling thankful that it's so breezy. She learned this from a manga.

Is often jealous of Kojima Haruna for being able to write kanji that she can't write herself.

Her father is a big fan of Asaka Yui and Minamino Yoko, and frequently asks Minami to take photos of the other AKB48 members.
