Japanese Unicorn roaming the streets of Western Australia. These Galant FTO’s are a short wheelbase GTO designed for sporty driving. The wheel arch extensions are standard fitment on the GSR models to allow fitment of wider wheels. Biggest motor available from the factory was a 1597cc 4G32 Saturn OHC with twin SU carbs and 110PS. What makes this car special even in Japan is it is fitted with a DOHC 4G32 with twin Solex carbs out of the Galant GTO MR. These made 125PS.

1972 Mitsubishi Galant GTO 1600MR. These are one of the rarest and also most desirable of the Galant GTOs. Unlike later models which had a 4G52 2 litre SOHC motor as the range leader in this car we have a 1.6L 4G32. But unlike the majority of these motors which were SOHC in this car they were fitted with a twin cam head which with the twin Mikuni/Solex carbs enabled 125PS to be produced.
