4-S Group
It seems in every direction you look a group is in the midst of some type of movement. From climate change to equal rights for pets. Well, I've decided to start a movement. We've all heard of 4H. A great organization for kids. My movements handle goes by " 4-S". Which means "Spouses Seeking Some Sugar". I believe this is a movement that most spouses can get behind. I try and do what I can to keep the magic in my marriage. I'm a romantic I admit it. I enjoy watching the Hallmark Channel from time to time. I even sent a letter to Hallmark Headquarters suggesting a Hallmark After Dark Channel. Still wholesome but just a touch more steamy. (My wife asked why a Hallmark After Dark? I told her I just looking for movies with a happier ending.) Tonight while on the phone with the wife she mentioned how she was exhausted and would be in bed asleep by the time I got home. After expressing how sorry I was for her taxing day I mentioned in passing that would she like a bit of spousal magic when I got home. She said no to the offer. I then mentioned how perhaps she could hang something on the bedroom doorknob if she changed her mind that would be my green light to proceed. She said she'd for sure be deep in slumberland. I mentioned how I was sure I could wake her up if, given the green light by her, all I needed was something on the doorknob so I knew she was on board with my intentions. She stated again how this good girl needed a good night's sleep. I shared how I was told once by one of my uncles that good girls are just bad girls that haven't been caught. (She didn't bite on that comment.) So things didn't work out like I was hoping. I suggested she wouldn't be so negative to this suggestion if it was coming from George Clooney. She said well you're not George Clooney. I then pointed out to her that except for not being as good-looking or having his money and not being a celebrity I'm very much like George Clooney. I told her "So if I sense love calling me tonight when I get home I'm up a creek?" My lady just replied; "Just consider the call a wrong number." The hardest thing to learn in life is which bridge to cross and which to burn. I didn't burn the bridges, I'm just looking at another day to cross it. I can't wait for my first 4-S meeting.
