Back home from Bischofshofen. I’m really glad the competition could take place yesterday. I’ve never seen so much snow in my whole life and at some point, I really doubted we’d make the 30 kilometers from our hotel to Bischofshofen.
The day was packed with training, quali and the competition. I am really proud of Markus and what he achieved. Who would’ve thought in December? I hope this gives him motivation and confidence for the rest of the season.
Ryoyu is simply in another league at the moment. His fourth rank after the first round was surprising and for a short moment I thought he might be nervous after all, but his win was well deserved in the end and it’s crazy that after Kamil’s Grand Slam last season, we got another one just the year after, considering it took so long for anybody to do it after Hannawald. Now they’re a club of 3. Amazing!
All in all, it was an incredible experience, the travelling was really tiring, I had cold feet for like a week straight, I can’t scream “ziiiiiieeeeeehh!!” anymore, but it was worth it!!! 1/1 would recommend. 😉
I’ll look through my photos now, edit them and decide if, where and how I post/share them.
