i absolutely adore old-timey names... what does makisig mean? if i may ask :)

You see, Filipino indigenous names are usually based on traits, sometimes objects or occurrences. Examples: Maganda (meaning: Beautiful), Malakas (meaning: Strong), Maliksi (meaning: Fast), Tala (meaning: Star)
Another character from Dead Inside makes fun of Makisig for having an "old-timey" name because everyone she knew was given a name with western influences. It's a bit unusual for her. (Also, it's some kind of defense mechanism because Makisig is romantically pursuing this character.)
