I love working in the BAMC ER. Omg. I've done more in a few days then I have elsewhere. I've watched a couple urinary catheters be put in, male and female. With the doctors supervision I got to use lidocaine to numb this woman's head laceration, and then staple it 5 times. I watched a central line be put in this woman's neck. I helped take care of a gunshot victim, who was shot in the pelvis and thigh. I did an EKG on a man who was having a heart attack, as I was working on him. Plus IV's galore. All that in two 12hour shifts. Damn. Can't wait for more!
