Weave a Resilient Life- new book by career USAF man
By George Miller
On this segment (5-6-15) of the Good Morning Oxnard Show- Host Peter Godinez interviews Dr. Dale Weaver, USAF (ret) on his new book “Weave a Resolute Life,” a compelling life story
It’s about resilience–overcoming adversity and bouncing back from life’s hardships. There are 11 chapters, each covering a different phase of Dale Weaver’s life, with an important life lesson from each phase. He talks about his family history (Weaver – Rosen), growing up in Morro Bay, his experiences in Oregon and Alaska, living on Guam, his family and children, 20 years of Air Force service, world travels, ten years in Virginia, earning a Ph.D., and living the good life in California. He shares many interesting adventures, each with an important message.
Dale said: “I think I have a very interesting story to tell–I’ve had some absolutely amazing experiences. I hope you will support me and pick up a copy.”
The bottom line: life is not about what happens to you, it’s what you do with what happens to you…

Update
Finally cycled back around to me and Dal in the Partner system being out. I needed to stretch my legs. :P It's been a bad BPD day. Started off with Tina singing along to our music, she went to lunch with Body Mom, and when she got back, she managed to finish Freyr's outfit before succumbing to flashbacks and on the verge of tears. That mood cycle was a span of three hours. At most. Gah. She switched with me before we went to sleep, and now I feel okay again. There's a layer of denial starting to weave its way through the house again. I really don't want to touch that. I'll have to deal with it soon enough, because it'll start affecting the System. Ugh. Of course problems start up the day after Lila, our Positivity, leaves on a trip for three days. We'll have to deal until Saturday night. We can do this. Just have to take it slow, and follow the Rules. -Emily
Today was such a good day
You're saying you miss me. While on my end, I take the fire of the sky and paint your name on my arm. Reply. The heat of the sun singeing from the outside in. You say I never understood. I breathe and scratch the sun, telling myself it will set soon. Reply. You say I caused problems. I think about how cold the sun was last Monday, how no forecast could tell me where the light was, or when it would be back. Reply. You seem surprised that I care. I have always cared, always held warmth in my heart while your apathy caused the sky to drip from my chest. Heart beating too fast for the holes you all caused. Goodbye, sun. You will no longer be too cold or too hot, but I simply will not see you anymore.
Update on that one boy
He asked me to prom today! It was really sweet and our teacher was stunned. I feel like we could happen. We barely know each other, which is scary yet exhilarating. But i think we're actually the same person especially in terms of awkwardness! When we interact awkwardly I think we're both hard on ourselves after and not the other person, which is sweet. We'll seeee
