Guild transparency
aka, one of the best updates of 5.10
I’m a member advocate, I always have been. The new guild log is something I’ve long wanted and I’m glad to see it in action. No more “mystery” g-kicks. No more “mystery” role changes. Everything shows up on the log. Everything. People’s actions are now very visible and this can hopefully help with keeping people accountable for their actions towards others, who no longer have to accept a “oh I don’t know...” response to member changes. So a very much yay for transparency for me. I feel fortunate that I am now in a guild that treats everyone with respect and human decency. A group where everyone is treated equally and fairly and it’s nice to see the log reflect that.
I’m looking right now at the log and here’s some examples of “actions” I see. Also note that the message shows the details on who did the action and who received the action.
Invited (so and so invited so and so to join the guild)
Promoted (so and so promoted so and so to such and such role)
Invaded (guild invaded planet such and such)
Perk purchases (so and so has purchased a guild perk: such and such guild perk)
Complete (so and so has met their personal conquest goal)
There are more, but those are a few examples.
