My Notes:  I was expecting a quick PWP from this one, but noooo it had cuteness and fluff and I really enjoyed it.  Don’t get my wrong, it’s smutty like daaaaaaaaaamn, but there’s also a story to it, and it was a fun read.  I wasn’t like suuuuper into all the BDSM-y stuff, but the story kept me reading for sure.  I’ll give this one an A/A-.

Fic Series: The Laundromat ‘Verse (http://archiveofourown.org/series/387886)

My Notes:  So this is one of those fics that’s written in a way that gets a little confusing at times (think Priestly’s Pesto).  As a result, there were points where I completely lost the timeline or got a little confused.  That said, I still really enjoyed the overall story.  There’s something really, really adorable about laundromat-owner Dean.  And as for any points where you feel like you’re missing out on some of Cas’s story or point of view (which I definitely did), the second fic in the series is there to fill you in.  I give this series an A-/B+.

Most of them are from Cas’s sister Anna, but some are labeled for Dean. He can only resist reading for so long, and once he starts he can't stop. Each letter reveals more of Cas's perspective on their relationship over the four years they've known each other, and with each one Dean finds himself changing too.”

My Notes:  So this wasn’t actually as slow-build as I was expecting it to be.  It’s a cute story, but it gets a little convoluted towards the end.  I also felt like Dean got more and more OOC as the fic went on.  Still, a good read.  Definitely take that “John Winchester’s A+ Parenting” tag to heart in this one though, damn.  I’ll give it a B/B-.

My Notes:  There was something very mundane that I enjoyed about this fic.  Like the small town, boring life that Dean has going, that Cas kindof slips into.  I don’t remember much of the details at the moment, but I did really enjoy Dean and Cas’s relationship in this one.  I’ll give it an A-.

My Notes:  I was both excited and hesitant to read this fic.  Excited because I LOVE Ten Inch Hero and Boaz Priestly, but hesitant because I go for Cas and Dean, and Priestly isn’t Dean.  BUT, the author did a really nice job of kindof melding Dean and Priestly into one character, and I really liked this fic.  There was something about the writing style that I loved, but it also made following the story a little difficult at times.  My biggest issue with this fic, though, was that it didn’t really feel complete.  The author does mention a possible sequel, though, so there’s hope!  I’ll give this fic a B/B+.

It’s true they had a difficult time readjusting to humanity at first, but Dean thinks Cas deserves to do more than ride around in the back seat and follow them on monster hunts. Then again, Dean’s a little bit scared to ask exactly what Cas would want, just in case it doesn’t include spending quite so much time with him. And with Sam (of course). Sam’s been tracking a series of odd occurrences in Laramie, Wyoming for the last few weeks that looks just enough like a case to finally convince Dean they should go check it out. Whether they like it or not, the goddess responsible for the weirdness in Laramie takes an immediate interest in the three less-than-perfectly-happy hunters who’ve stumbled into her town.“

My Notes:  This fic was hard for me to really get into.  The first few chapters seemed really...wordy to me.  Like there was just a lot of set up and explanation that had to be done, and it wasn’t really pulling me into the story.  But then it got into the real meat of the fic and it was fucking FANTASTIC.  Seriously, the whole convention thing was a really great storyline and something I haven’t really seen in a fic before.  I’m not really into canon or canon divergence fics, but Dean and Cas really worked for me in this one and the whole French Mistake kind of style was awesome.  I’m so glad this fic is listed as part of a series, because I cannot wait to read more!  I give this fic an A-/B+.

My Notes:  I was honestly a little iffy when I started this fic, after reading all of the tags, but I was pleasantly surprised at how cute it was.  It is one of those fics where Dean and Cas fall for each other pretty quickly, but it worked within the context of this story.  It’s a unique story and I thought it was super cute (also I loved all the cuddles, holy crap).  Also, “walking genderfuck” Cas was totally awesome.  I will say that the sexual element to this fic really wasn’t my style, but it’s a small enough part of the story that it didn’t ruin it for me at all.  I really wanted more of this fic at the end.  Overall, I give this one a B+.
