August 7, I woke up to realize that my Facebook account was being locked.
What have I done? An email notification said that it was due to some stupid horoscope questionnaire app I made many years ago creating bad user experience. Who would even bother to look at it?
What I have actually done though, is that I reported a “50-cents” (people who get paid by the CCP to make hate comments against the protests) who said something along the line of “protesters should die”. I have no idea how that person made his revenge, or whether this incident really led to my account being locked, but in such social unrest, one would easily relate the conspiracy, tensing at the idea of becoming a target of attack.
After proving my identity to Facebook, my account was unlocked the next day.
