Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?
I am making my own decisions, that is why my life is such a mess.

Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you?
I am making my own decisions, that is why my life is such a mess.
In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that?
This one is a short answer: no. I barely remember when I have done something interesting and the last few days have been incredibly boring.
What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love?
The use of ‘what’ in this question rather than ‘who’ has somewhat confused me. I know who I love, I love my family and friends. But ‘what’ I love is harder to answer. I don’t think I love anything.
When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?
Yesterday. I was doing a meditation/visualisation thing so I was focusing on breathing deeply and noticed the sound
What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
I think I would do more things alone. I really like spending time by myself but I feel like people are judging me when I am out and doing things by myself. I would also probably try harder to get a job I’d really enjoy rather than one that sounds respectable.
If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?
This depends so much on the context. Sometimes we worry about making mistakes unnecessarily but making mistakes is difficult to deal with. Even if you learn from the mistake, you still have to clean up the consequences of making the mistake in the first place. Plus we don’t always learn from our mistakes.
When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?
I’m not sure there is ever a right time. I know there will never be a time when I stop calculating the risk of what I am doing. Just because I believe something is right does not necessarily mean it is right. Personally I like to make decisions with my head rather than my heart.
What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
I think ‘truly living’ just implies you are experiencing more of life and not just working and sleeping. But generally this kind of thing annoys me, I don’t think it is fair for me to say someone is living in a way that is better or worse to the way I live my life. Everyone has got too much to worry about already, does it really matter if you are ‘truly living’?
