My thoughts: hyunjin's magical dick lmao; fucking hell dude, god this fic is so incredibly good, it also made me cry a lot, it also also got me invested in minjin(? hyunknow?? idk the ship names yet) as a ship in general, just...yeah.

My thoughts: this oh my god This, this fic is fantastic I've never seen someone do hybrid au like this before like Wow, the whole world is so extensively crafted and discusses/explores details of hybrid traits in a completely unique way, add to that renhyuck are very good together and the slow burn is so worth it, also the beginning of embracing/understanding their animal sides? also how each character influences the others? fantastic, read this one if you can (ik there's some pretty heavy topics)

Hybrid fics often take place in porny worlds where hybrids are created as pets. In the past, I’ve seen people talk about wanting to write about the hybrid uprising where hybrids fight for their rights as humans. In this universe, they won those hypothetical rights about twenty years ago and are legally fully human and treated as such. Subsequently, there is no enslavement or mistreatment, and nothing resembling it in this fic, but it is a recent history that sits in the background and can’t be ignored. The focus of this fic will be far away from that history. You have my word that these characters will be safe and independent for the entirety of this fic, and this history will be minimally relevant to the plot or their lives. Since the history and struggles of hybrids has so little relevance to the actual content of the fic, I did not tag anything, but feel free to navigate away if this is something you’d rather not experience in your hybrid fics.

The world of these characters is very speculative. As there have never been any scientifically engineered part-humans in the real world, the hybrids here are not written to closely imitate any real-world groups or situations.

A second note. There is a lot of discussion of weight loss and weight gain in this fic, as well as a lot of discussion of diet and eating to gain weight. This is all very specific to a bear hybrid physiology that depends on forcing a body not built to hibernate to prepare for a yearly cycle of severe malnutrition. None of the discussion of weight or diet ever makes general statements about health, and is never generally viewed as good or bad, just necessary for this character’s very specific health.
