1/52 #52GameChallenge - Hatoful Boyfriend - Playstation 4
Game 9: Fallout New Vegas
Start Date: 12/16/2015
Platform: Steam
Notes: With the recent release of Fallout 4, New Vegas has been staring at me from my Steam games list. This is probably the best time to tackle the sequel to the amazing Fallout 3.
Game 8: Bastion
Start Date: 12/15/2015
Platform: Steam
Notes: I played a few minutes of this on Xbox 360 and knew it would be special. Similar to Shank, this is Transistor’s older brother so I will check this out first.
Game 6 Complete: Mirror’s Edge
Length: 8 hours
Date: 1/9/2016
Review: Ugh, this game. Mirror’s Edge is not a bad game. It’s just not as good as it should be. The gameplay has a ton of promise, but the game’s problems frustrated me enough to stretch its 8 hours over 3 months. First, the level design is uneven at best. Some levels are fantastic at providing enough freedom for the parkour gameplay to shine, but others are obtuse and frustrating. The controls, while mostly great have a real problem detecting when you want to do a wall run, which dominates the more challenging platforming tasks. The in-game art style is sleek and cool, but for some reason, was dropped during the cut scenes for 2001 era flash art. Also, the guns feel completely out of place, while also seeming like the designers built levels with the intention of using them. This game is at its best when Faith is traversing quickly around the environment, not when she is stopping to empty a clip into a nearby enemy. I really liked the games highs, but hated its lows and unfortunately, the lows are really what stick out. Here’s hoping the upcoming sequel fixes these problems and delivers this game’s initial promise.
5/10.
Game 2 Pikmin 3 initial thoughts
I’ve decided since I’m close to completion with Yoshi I’d start game 2 already, Unlike Yoshi I’ve heard nothing but good things about Pikmin 3 so I’m hyped, Other than fading memories of the first game I’ve not really much experience With the series but early signs are positive.
First off the graphics are beautiful and the music is really awesome too I’ll save for my review for full thoughts, The Yoshi review is coming soon BTW and game 3 is picked already(Another Wii U game that passed me).

Game 7: Mirror’s Edge
Start Date: 10/20/2015
Platform: PS3
Notes: I have started this game a couple times but never got past 4 missions.
25/52: Streets of Rage 2 again, this time for Xbox 360. Included as I just unlocked this rather painful achievement, which requires completion of the game also. #52gamechallenge #streetsofrage #Sega #videogames #retrogaming
