Day 24 - “oc that looks like you want to look i have a big fat crush on” [ list x inktober2019 tag ]

I debated who to do for today’s original prompt for weeks before I got to it, and in the end I just.. don’t have an answer!! I don’t think I have an OC that’s blatantly my “life goals”... And I don’t really want to pick, esp since I’m an ever-changing fleshy construct anyway?? gosh bee y u gotta get all meta abt this it’s just a prompt-- WELL TOO LATE HERE I AM 9(｀ε´)9

So instead I bring you shameless “wOW I love Constance” content... skeptically enjoying a cup of tea! Constance belongs to my sweet boo @dyemelikeasunset and ofc Con is married to my OC Linette. Here’s a modern AU drawing of them being happy. /o/

Day 20+21 - “adventurer oc + homebody oc” [ list x inktober2019 tag ]

A two-in-one featuring the steadfast and friendly Cheryl and her soft-spoken older sister, Henrietta. Cherry is in the Myr military- the 52nd Platoon- as a cavalry unit corporal; and Etta is a tavern housekeeper in a Gnomish trade city, working to raise her son Arthur (who I should draw sometime!) Cherry occasionally visits them with gifts and money, but sometimes her stories put ideas in Arthur’s head that Etta isn’t too thrilled about, being quite the worrywart. Cherry’s element is Metal (she’s got quite an impressive arsenal of throwing spears!) and Etta’s is Earth, and does pottery as a hobby (unless one of the other housekeepers drag her out to market to sell a few, as they are quite pretty!)

Day 12: “A SINamon roll“ [ list x inktober2019 tag ]

TBH Jerria isn’t like my WORST sinnamon roll, I just felt like drawing her that day.. ┐(´∀｀)┌ (I really should sit down and decide who my #1 sinnamon roll is...) but she does have a very cute mischievous streak and her charms are reportedly irresistible!!!

Jerria is a naiad on the 52nd platoon. she’s a little country bumpkin that grew up riding dragons for fun, shooting bottles with her siblings and cousins, and picking flowers in open fields in her muddy cowboy boots!

@dyemelikeasunset and @caiterprince and I decided to do a little gift art trade over christmas break for each other- I naturally took forever so we didn't post them until now hahahaaa, but you know... at least now we're fashionably early for 2020! 😅 This piece is for @dyemelikeasunset , of their Ocean of Cycles characters. I've been wanting to draw these two in some fashion for basically forever, and aren't they just SO TOTALLY CUTE as chibis?! 😭

I'm so honored to be part of the official dA Pride event again this year!

This year, I was very honored to illustrate for the black stripe of the Philadelphia Pride Flag, which represents racial inclusion and queer Black culture. Black lives matter, and Black queer lives matter.

I wanted to show a loving, happy, and peaceful Black family, something that's too often ignored or glazed over even within the LGBTQIA+ community, especially by us non-black members.

Because the color black is the culmination of all other colors on the subtractive spectrum, I included bits of the other colors found in the traditional pride flag, and because Blackness is an inherent part of our community's history.

For followers, yes this is Garsend and his (eventual) husband and daughter!

Hey I love Feyero hes so beautiful. I know you put the wicked lyrics up but did you take any inspiration from wickeds Fiyero? I think its cool if you did, especially since he's explicitly black in the book and that always gets overlooked in the play.

Thank you omg I am blessed by all the love for Feyero!!! I didn’t actually know he was black in the Wicked books, wow?! That’s really exciting and makes me twice as happy I caved and let myself use him as an inspo!!!! Aside from his name, Fey’s teen/young adult academy days were VERY much akin to Fiyero’s attitude in “Dancing Through Life”- free spirited, careless, irresponsible. He’s matured a lot now that he’s older, but I thought the nod to that inspo would be nice in his backstory. <3

So here’s future Mr. Eregrant, since we’re talking about it...❤️ I’ve been working on this design for a few months, it did not come easily!! (༎ຶ⌑༎ຶ) I wanted a VERY specific balance of femme and pirate-y for him. BUT HERE HE IS. Dye already summarized his backstory perfectly here, but for posterity:

Bee is developing Garsend’s future husband, who now works as a barber! His name is Feyero, and he used to be quite the trouble-maker in military academy. Him and his little band of friends lived very free-spirited, irresponsible lives, but after a surprise pregnancy with his girlfriend at the time, Fey started to reconsider his lifestyle. He got a job as a barber to earn a stable living, and ended up raising his new daughter himself. Eventually, things fell apart with his girlfriend, and he dedicated his new life solely to his little princess.

Fey's outer presence is quite laid back, friendly and cheerful, with a naturally charming aura. I like to imagine him the type to ‘sway’ and saunter when he walks, holding various hair-styling tools- like how Captain Jack Sparrow walks and poses his arms, except not from being drunk, haha. He’s insanely romantic and occasionally dabbles in writing poetry when he’s not busy with work or looking after his baby girl.

On that note, Florianne is a little princess who loves attention, is exceptionally curious and bright, not afraid to talk to anyone- and she can be quite opinionated, coz this little gumdrop knows what she wants!! Fey has about 20 petnames for her and counting. Garsend ends up being an incredible dad match for her due to his first-hand experience looking after another little spoiled brat princess we all know and love. :3c
