Me too! I was cracking up watching it saying, “This is totally a spoof on The Matrix”. So I’ve decided to rewatch The Matrix because it’s been ages, and I am more convinced than ever that that’s exactly what they were doing.

Yeah, that’s the thing. It’s the whole, “Let’s rebrand DW as a Disney product” that’s creepy and weird. Although, I do think Donald Duck would make a great companion for Twelve.

I saw the commercial and on the one hand I was like “yes! Now my nephews will watch Who!” Because they watch everything on that channel. And on the other hand I did fear for the commercials–it’s bad even on BBCAm because they’re not built for the ads like us shows…
I just cant deal with jumping from an intense scene in Doctor Who to a loud, garish, horrible ad for Furby. And all the related juvenile nonsense. But, fortunately, I don’t have to watch it on Disney. I can easily avoid it. And if that’s what it takes to get more American kids to watch it, fine, I guess? Whatever. It’s just weird seeing it on that particular channel.

I was told by my girlfriend that they are also subtly blocking out the word "hell". WHICH IS KIND OF IMPORTANT TO THE EPISODE.
