Heiermann

Die Bezeichnung Heiermann wird in manchen Gegenden Deutschlands umgangssprachlich für das 5-Mark-Stück, heute selten auch für den 5-Euro-Schein, verwendet. Das Wort entstand wohl Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts im norddeutschen Sprachraum, breitete sich anekdotischen Angaben zufolge aber mindestens bis ins Rheinland aus.

Vereinzelt (in Krefeld) soll zudem das 50-Pfennig-Stück als „Heiermännchen“…
