Presenting The Shield, a military fortress built by the dwarves that spans across an entire mountain valley. This fortress was built to hold back the monsters that plague this valley due to some unknown cause.

Both sides of the fortress is reinforced by 12-foot-thick stone walls, and further protected by magic. Anyone who wishes to pass through must answer to the dwarves, who drop down tall ladders that the travelers must climb.

I've been making maps for a while now, and I realized that I haven't made a tavern or inn yet! In my experience, most campaigns start and end in a tavern of some sort.

So here is my contribution to the internet’s endless archive of tavern battlemaps— The Roadside Inn.
