Takamul is the second of the sisterhood, she used parts of the elemental planes and inspiration from material worlds all over the multiverse to bring life to the cog
the vast majority of the inhabitants live on the horizontal cog, which has topography taken by the sisterhood of goddesses from planes of elemental creation.
Sixir is the goddess of magic, intellect and the head of the sisterhood of goddesses. She is known as the Cogshaper because she made the realm.

The cog is surrounded by an aethersphere, a bubble of realmspace under the goddess control. There is no comparable sun, but a light and dark side of the sphere itself. the cog has five moons, one associated with each of the goddesses.
the vertical cog is very hard to travel to, surrounded by hundreds of miles of freezing temperatures. the vertical cogs itself is home to creatures originally native to other realms, angels, devils, demons and those in between.
Sixir is still venerated, but her position at the head of the sisterhood is questionable, around five hundred years before the present day of 1117, she suffered a period of volatility known as the madness of Sixir
