After much convincing on her part, she had finally managed to bring him down into the garage of his building. ❝Wait–You can’t look just yet.❞ Moving to stand behind him, she easily reaches up to cover his eyes with the aid of her platform shoes, and the two walk slowly in a little further.

❝Okay, when I let go, I’m going to countdown from five. So don’t open your eyes until I reach zero.❞ With her hands slowly slipping away, she tiptoes over to his side and counts down to reveal his present to him. ❝Happy birthday, Minhyuk oppa!❞

His eyes flickered open at her release, and only for it to go wider at the sight of the drumset. No words came past his lips as this surprised him tenfold. Soyu kept insisting she would bring the Song triplets in his place for a day and lucky for her he was gullible enough to believe. Why and how, he doesn't know, just part of him trusted her wide connections with people. He stood in place with a bewildered expression, his hands holding out, kind of a surprised shrug.

“Yah!” he finally spoke, unable to hold back a goofy smile, “Is this really….Wa!”

He stepped forward and paused with sudden hesitation (because she could be tripping–they were fond of that), then continued to approach the drum set, hands pressed together and fingertips pointing and touching his lips. He had difficulty coming up with the right words at the moment, just nervous chuckles and amused ‘waaa’s–he looked like a little boy receiving that long-wanted action figure at the toy store. He walked around it and paused behind–where he would sit, marveled the entirety with glistening eyes. It was pretty, he thought.

It was white. Like he’d always say he wanted here and there. He didn’t expect someone would actually get one for him–that’s mostly why he was taken aback.

“Wa–Jihyun-ah, you’re not joking?!”
