Got it! Now, time to get it on the stand and start cleaning this ugly thing. So I got a little more motivated than I thought I was. Maybe because I saw “Ford vs. Ferrari” yesterday and it was pretty damn good, so now I have some righteous #ford spirit. Pulled hood, with the aid of an engine hoist and my wife @motherbee_glam, also the radiator and the fan/water pump pulley. Maybe tomorrow I’ll work on disconnecting everything else and pulling it out to put on the engine stand. After a few months off from working on this, wherein I had to work on our other cars, my yard, and cleaning/organizing the house, I’m back at it. I’m preparing the pull the engine out of this beast so I can clean it, paint it, and put new gaskets in it because it is leaking more oil than it’s keeping in at this point. Since I’ve never worked on a big block before I decided to buy the book which I fully intend to read, but probably won’t. My son wanted to help jack the front end up so I could make sure the brakes weren’t seized, but he had a little trouble, so I assisted a little bit. Today is draining the fluids, disconnecting hoses, and marking/documenting the wires I will be disconnecting later.
