Pack Brooklyn Housing Court on March 7th to support a 693 Madison Street tenant leader who is under threat of being evicted by their greedy landlord Isaac Hirsch of JIH Builders Group LLC (JIH). In 2017, Isaac Hirsch and his company JIH Builders Group begun a mass eviction campaign against the low-to-middle income rent-stabilized tenants at 693 Madison Street in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Many tenants were forced to leave, but several choose to stay and fight by forming a tenant association. Documenting that the toxic and hazardous fumes reported by national grid at 693 Madison St. are coming floors from newly renovated apartments. In the meantime, JIH Builders is using various forms of harassment to punish and drive out existing tenants. Tactics of harassment include: - Round the clock non-stop construction on vacant apartments - Industrial paint being used with fumes so toxic that an ambulance had to be called for a grandmother and two children - Putting a combination lock on the door to the basement, so tenants are unable to check meter readings.
