In another tongue (your sorrow sounds beautiful)
For Fic in a box 2025, I wrote a couple of fics, two of them being 6oC fics - Kaz-centric Cards on the table and Nina-centric In another tongue (your sorrow sounds beautiful) - two Batman related fics (Batfam and Superbat) and a DBD fic :)
Before coming to the Little Palace, before arriving to Ketterdam, Nina was a young child living in an orphanage. How did her fascination with languages start?

Excerpt:
The book in Nina’s lap was thick and heavy, with yellowed pages holding more dust than ink, and yet with an unmistakable weight to it, she couldn’t help but admire. With golden corners and leather hardback, she was surprised to see it left unattended near the window she so liked to sit by. It probably belonged to one of the many visitors, which is why at first she was hesitant to look inside, lest she stain the paper with her grubby fingers, as Tomek called them. But the temptation was too much for her to handle, the book calling out to her from the other side of the room. Unlike other kids at the orphanage, Nina loved spending time in their tiny library, not only because it kept her bullies away - the caretakers were adamant on having the space undisturbed and safe from prying hands - but also as it was a great place to find gems such as this. The book was beautiful, everyone could see it, but it was the contents that enthralled her. The words ‘Fjerdan Glossary’ opened a whole new world for her, Nina was eager to dive into.
