The rain came all of a sudden. While normally she would have enjoy it joyously, it was really not as fun when she was caught in the rain and has to ground her mouth hard so that her teeth wouldn't be clattering the whole way home. Her knuckles were turning white on the steering wheel in an effort to fight down the shiver when she finally turned the corner near her house. She couldn't get out of the car fast enough for the warmth of her home and a hot shower. It was heaven the moment the scorching hot water touched her skin and she couldn't resist but to let out a sigh. The shower was probably longer than necessary but reasonably so to make sure she was warm again, inside out. It was late when she finally sat down on her bed with a cup of hot cocoa in her hands and blanket wrapping her body like a cacoon, the rain still raging outside. As she looked at the lightning at the far away sky, and listened to the pitter patter of the falling rain, a sense of calm washed over her and she could finally enjoy rain like how she always had again.
