Phoenix is super excited but never really having been around dogs much, he's a little afraid of the puppy. It will be a growing, learning experience for them both. Everytime the puppy yawns, Phoenix pulls away like he's about to be bitten... He's used to our cats who don't put up with him for very long at a time, lol. And I don't know where he's gotten the idea that dogs are murderous lol, but he keeps asking if the puppy will kill people or eat us when he grows up, and we're trying to explain that no dogs do that. A Bridge

  Me: Hank, can you come in here please?

Hank: Yes, my mama?

Pai: We have decided that you grounding will end tonight, but we hope that you have really thought about your outburst, being more mature and understanding the things you have, not just the things you want.

Hank: I have been in my room using my imagination and it was like I forgot how fun it was.  I like the ipad and games, but I didn’t miss them so much while I was in punishment.

Me: What did you miss?

Hank: I didn’t like hearing you and papa and being far away.

Me: Your room felt far away?

Hank: The hallway was like a crack in the earth.

Me: We should build a bridge across that crack.

Hank: Can we do it right now?

Pai: Absolutely.

Me: (getting up) Are we thinking a draw bridge or a rope bridge or a replica Roman bridge?

Hank: Can we build a new… a different bridge every day?

Pai: (from a hug) Absolutely.
