The Scarlet King
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954)
If you can look past the very old-fashioned and uncomfortable gender roles and misogyny in this film, it’s quite cute, in that ‘50s way. The song aren’t really that great, musically or lyrically, but they’re not bad. I was much more impressed with the dancing. There was some seriously impressive choreography involved. So, yeah, it was nice enough, but only for musical fans, I’d say.
I got inspired from the objective put out by @teamsambugren
*I should note that this is just to show a juxtaposition of character.*
It doesn’t exactly follow their parameters but eh I thought it was too funny not to. Jacks dress isn’t my own design, did a google images search and this one fit both the reaper and bridal categories for me.
So, let’s see. Drip would kill his victims by boring/bitching them to death and Jack would depress the shit out of them... TO DEATH!
Characters copy righted yada yada David Hopkins.
*Edited Drip a bit. Much as I wanted the character crying, it doesn’t fit here.
Absolutely love this movie but especially the songs.. Listening to all the soundtrack at the moment. ☺️
