Little Pup, Your Ingratitude Proceeds You|| Remus and Fenrir|| July 1, 2015 (Full Moon)
It was a surprisingly nice day for London with hardly a breeze. Few people were managing to keep on anything more than short sleeves as the sun was actually shining down on them from a sky that was mostly blue instead of white with clouds. Fenrir could feel the sun on his face, and if he closed his eyes for a moment, the scattered sun, then shade of a building, then sun again, could remind him of the forest.
He planned on being home that night, perhaps even visiting his home and his mother’s bones. There were places he knew he could go in and around the city--places he had hunted down in times of need--but the forest was really the safest place for him and, while he would admit it to no one, he was beginning to feel homesick.
As he wandered down a muggle residential street, Fenrir thought about his pack. He had left both Marcus and Leona home, which meant little should have gone wrong. He also hadn’t received any messages by owl, and he considered no news to be good news. Still, at times, Marcus was a little softer than Fenrir would be about something and going home might mean needing to stomp some new trend out.
His thoughts were interrupted by someone stepping in front of him. He could sense the other was a wolf before he even looked up to see little Lupin. He gave the pup a wry smile before realizing the man was actually growling. Lupin’s eyes were like fire, reflecting almost as much light as they took in. Fenrir chuckled lightly.
“It’s a little early to be growling, isn’t it?” He checked his watch, then the sky. “By about four hours.”
