7.11.24 / day 18 of romanticizing my life until i love myself again

af’s birthday (and party)

first outing since testing negative

it was good to see everyone

it also reminded me, though, how young af still is, how the distance between 24 and 27 doesn’t feel like a lot until it does, and the gaps in our friendship make more sense

i know i have to be patient, and i also think i need to form more relationships with people who are where i’m at already

i don’t want them to rush the process of growing into your skin, shrinking from whatever no longer serves you, i am still in this process, and i know how long it takes, and yet it’s hard when they’re in the position of being my best friend, and i want more consistency and support from the person in that role in my life, more than i think they can give. maybe i just need to work on filling my own cup more.
