Chocolate Over Beans

He rested his bones in my rear view mirror
I thought about that reflection
Was it as shaky as I? Soles against pavement
Two beats for every step
Bracing myself for what I am about to see
The grin
The eyes
The long fingers peering up What a pleasurable sight -
The most beautiful creature and so much expectation
The beating accelerates 
He steps towards me Hours come and go
Warmth
Rain
A spider ascending from his web My stomach is tight
My knee bounces
Up & down 
Time is up The fingers touch my skin
He is wrapped around me
Paralyzed for a moment if only in thought
Nostrils full of his scent In an instant

Yesterday we climbed the castle in Vernazza, and then took a boat to Monterosso al Mare. The top 3 pictures are from the top of the castle; the first one looking back toward the hill we climbed the night before. You can see the castle (about 2/3 of the way across the picture) in the photo taken from the boat. This morning we leave Vernazza, headed for Pisa and Florence.
